Red and green card or paper (if you are using paper you need a double-sided one)
XL500 Gold Border peel off stickers
XL641 Gold Heart Corner peel off stickers
PK249 Cream card blank & envelope
Small piece of 3mm wide red ribbon for a bow
Green coloured pencil or pen
Glue, craft knife & scissors
Cut 2 teardrop shapes from the red card, approx. size 2.5cm x 1.5cm
Carefully bend down the edge of one
Cut a small snippet approx. 1cm long, the size is not too critical as it is going to tuck in behind the other shapes. It just needs to have a slight point at one end
Cut 5 oval leaf shapes from the green card approx. 2cm x 1cm, they don't all have to be identical you can vary the size slightly if you wish
Now cut the base of the rose out of the green card, the approx. size is 0.75cm (for the round bit) x 2cm including the spikes. Once again this doesn't have to be too precise, it's a round shape with four spikes, which looks a bit like an upside-down 4 legged octopus
Once you have all the pieces cut out......
Arrange them onto your card blank, roughly how you want them to look
Then, with a coloured pencil or pen, draw a stem and small branches for the leaves, don't make it to straight you need a bit of a curve in it.
It might help to practice on a scrap of paper first, just to get the lines right
Now, glue the rose pieces and stick them down, starting with the flat teardrop first, then the one with the bent edge, then tuck the small piece in the top under the others
Glue the green rose base and stick that to the rose head, it doesn't matter if the spikes stand off a little bit
Now, glue the leaves in place to finish the rose
Add a gold heart corner peel off sticker (XL641) to the top left hand corner of the card blank
And then a thin gold border peel off sticker (XL500) across the top and down the left hand side of the card blank, about 0.5cm in from the edge and matching up with the corner peel off.
Attach a small red ribbon bow to the stem of the rose
