Birds In Blossom Card

A beautiful card making project

Great for an anniversary,

Mother's Day or Valentine's Day

What will you need?

  • DCD528 Birds In Blossom Die-Cut Decoupage sheet
  • XL649 Silver Rope Border peel off stickers
  • CB044P Birds In Blossom Adhesive Paper Borders
  • A4 piece of pink card
  • PK248 White 150 x 203mm card blank and envelope
  • Double-sided foam pads, glue or double-sided tape, ruler, craft knife & scissors, etc

  • Pop out the main decoupage picture from the sheet and the small one
  • Cut a 11cm x 13.5cm piece of pink card
  • And a 6.5cm x 4.5cm piece

  • Mount the two pictures onto the card

  • Measure 1cm up from the bottom right and 1cm in from the right side of the card blank
  • Mark and cut out a 6.5cm x 4.5cm rectangle (the 6.5cm going in line with the bottom edge of the card blank)

  • Stick the main picture onto the card blank leaving a 0.75cm border down the left-hand side and across the top
  • Stick the smaller picture inside the card blank so it will show through the rectangle that you have cut out

  • Stick a floral border down the right-hand side of the card blank, approx. 1cm from the main picture
  • Stick two borders across the bottom of the card blank, approx. 2cm from the bottom of the main picture

  • Add a silver rope border peel off (XL649) around the small picture
  • And the same round the main picture

  • Open up the card blank and stick a floral border down the right-hand side
  • And two borders across the bottom, as you did on the front
  • Then, as on the front, add a silver rope border peel off around the picture
  • Add a silver rope border peel off to the back of the hole in the card blank

  • Pop out the pieces from the decoupage sheet, one stage at a time, following the numbers on the sheet
  • Build up the 3-dimensional picture using double-sided foam pads
  • Add the second layer to the small picture

Your card is now finished

and ready for the lucky recipient.
